Ray White Helps Drought-Stricken Farmers

By Astyn Reid

Even following recent rain in some areas large portions of Australia remain drought-affected with thousands of families in rural areas doing it tough.

Founded in rural Queensland over 110 years ago Ray White has an inextricable link to rural Australia with a number of members eager to give a hand to those in need. Reflecting on the challenges facing many farming families, Paul Hodkinson of Ray White Northside summed up the feelings felt by many; “it really resonated with me how easy it is to spend a few hundred dollars at lunch with mates when that amount would mean so much to these struggling families.”

Nationally through varied initiatives, the combined efforts of Ray White members have so far raised in excess of $110,000 or rural charities.

All who have so far contributed must be congratulated but the challenge facing these families is not yet over. There are still so many more that could benefit from support and the members of Ray White will continue to do so.
